What's WEBIC?

The Web Business Idea Competition (WEBIC) is an opportunity for you to find out how good your web-based business idea is and make some money in the process! We want to see the next Google or YouTube come out of BYU!

Participating is as easy as 1, 2, 3:

1. Imagine: Think of a unique idea for a web business.

2. Post:
a. Log in to the WEBIC website at http://webic.byu.edu
using your BYU Net ID & password.
b. Submit your idea (500 - 1500 words)

 3. Engage your friends: Send invites to your friends
through the website for a chance to win additional prizes

There is no limit to the number of ideas you can submit.

(In fact, the student who submits the most ideas is going to win a prize!)

Post Your Idea

Just access http://webic.byu.edu, and click "Sign In".

It will ask for your BYU Net ID and password (this is the same information you use for Route Y).

The first time you login the system will ask you to provide some personal information.

Once you're inside, just click "Post an Idea" and fill out the form.

Engage a Friend

Don't you think our competition is cool?

Send invites to your friends and win additional prizes!

In the website, you'll have the opportunity to send an email to your friends.

We will award the person who refers the most participants and any person who refers the top three winners.
